Fall, fall, fall - I'm always writing about how much I LOVE fall! But it is SO TRUE! I love the colors, the crisp breeze, and the last bit of warm sun. I actually stained my deck a dark color so that the colors of the leaves would pop in the fall. Sarah and Ryan's wedding at Stonehurst in Waltham is also a perfect example of why I think fall is amazing.
Stonehurst was the home of Robert Treat Paine and was a design collaboration of two great designers, H.H. Richardson and Frederick Law Olmstead. I spoke in a previous post about my past life as a student of architecture, so along with Sarah, who is an architect, I share great admiration for the building. There were so many beautiful details at Sarah and Ryan's wedding, but let's start by talking about Sarah's stunning bouquet designed by The Celebrated Flower. I'm pretty sure I took a million photographs of it - the artichokes, the peppers, the kale...veggies for days! The stunning floral arrangements continued in the tablescapes and in all the nooks and crannies of Stonehurst. Sarah's bridesmaids stunned in beautiful purple dresses with bright red shoes. Sarah's red Valentino's were a close second for my favorite detail of the day. The groomsmen even had little Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hiding in their boutonnieres - I mean, it doesn't get much cooler than that! The entire day was beautiful and perfect for a fall wedding.
Congratulations, Sarah & Ryan!
